Acura Rsx Type S, Civic Si , Integra Type S fun cars for the money!
I have to say that the K20a2 and K20z3 are absolutely fantastic NA engines and a pure joy to drive on the street. I was not fond of the 1.5 turbo in the 23 Si and that it lost the soul of the original. However the 24 Integra Type S although pricey is fantastic car! Is it worth the premium over the type r? For me if you can get a type r for msrp I would go that route.

I am on my 7th Miata. Have had many platforms but I always come back. The ND2 and now the ND3 fills the void left from the incredible S2000. If you under 6 feet and 200lbs give it a test drive.

      @@Mean93FoxGT she has been built since 2009 and still running incredible. On my 3rd t5 was the only issue and have an Astro t5 gear stack since 2017. Kept it simple and as you know for the street just all smiles!

    Never liked them when they came out. Now I'm sure that must be a pretty rare auto especially with the original V-8. Kind of like them now.

      @@jayhayden3106 had one in 1996 as a Senior in high school. For me was love at first sight. But I am always used to those whom didn’t like them. A lot of the old timers said they weren’t Mustangs. Now it’s nice to see many really enjoying them.

      On a scale of 1-5 5 being the worst it’s a 1. You got this. Slip on only need to remove 2 bolts. Sound wise the stock is dangerous people can’t hear you coming.

      It’s fuel injected and no tune needed. Keeps the stock cat.

    Any particular reason you decided to go with this over the Type R? I would say it looks cooler and has a better exhaust note but I heard the Type R is more fun to drive.

      At the time I couldn’t get a Type R at MSRP. At 52k msrp is steep for the Type S but the prices were worse for the type R with the dealer markups. I don’t think the type S is worth 7000 over the type R.

    I see that you are in to mustangs based on your name. Do you prefer the MX5 or Mustang? Which one gives you more fun? I know it does not make sense but I crossed shop between a mustang GT and my current 2023 MX-5 RG Club

      Sadly I feel that Ford has truly gone down in quality. I had a 24 Darkhorse and the infotainment screen kept freezing and would unpair my phone. I decided to that long term I wasn’t confident that more issues would arise. That being said the Coyote is absolutely fantastic when mated with the Tremec. I will most likely pick up another s550 Mach 1 down the line. The Mx5 is just a fantastic car and truly enjoyable and for the money is a great bargain! I would wait for a 2025 Mustang if you go that route in order for them to work out some of the issues.

    A few people complain about the drone. I am 44 and I would like to have a deep (elegant) sound with no drone Based on several videos this exhaust sounds perfect but Some people complained about the drone. Do you still like it?

      I have had many different 4 and 8 cylinder cars. Drone is awful and mostly due to those running no mid pipe and straight through exhaust. I picked up another 23 Mx5 last month and within the first week bought another Cobalt exhaust and i absolutely love it.

      For what she is I just enjoy her! She is quick I know compared to today’s cars people feel they are too slow. Weight of 2300 is what love feeling coupled with the sky active G all smiles!

      Yes some are calling it that. A few nice changes but Throttlehouse did a comparison and they could barely see a difference.

    I'm on my fifth MX5. A 2020 SRC 6sp Club. Over a half million miles and still obsessed. I upscaled the interior with leather boots and arm rest cushion (keeps me from hitting that damn display knob) from Red Line Goods, they have matching stitching for whatever model year.

      I absolutely love the SRC! Sadly the new Mx5 really didn’t give us many choices color wise but the SRC is my favorite!

    Is the exhaust roaring in the interior? Around 2000rpm? Some people have this problem and it becomes very annoying over time...

      Coupled with the stock mid pipe which has a resonator there is no drone. I am on my 7th Miata and just picked up another 23 which again picked up this exhaust which I truly enjoy. Ditch the sound tube get the exhaust and I truly believe you will be pleased.

    How much louder than the stock exhaust is it? Trying to shop around for a new muffler for mine that's s little louder and doesn't sound like a damn spaceship

      Bro the stock exhaust is wayyyyy to quiet. I like the sound with the slip on and safety wise people can hear you unlike the stock🤦🏻‍♂️

      Yes it will take some time. Webike Japan I picked up my windscreen, helmet lock, and Slip on. Now that the new Ninja 500 and Z500 will share the 451 I hope to see more aftermarket support.

      @@guyver650 you still have that fox? I have been eyeing a pair of GT40P's to replace my E7's. I hear nothing but good stuff on those heads (budget wise). Same stuff, springs need to be upgraded and the plug wires may interfere with the exhaust headers (I currently run MAC shorties). I'm still researching if the MACs I have will work. If not, then I might just go all out and look into some long tubes.

      @@jpp9846 I still have her since 2009. The hard part now is with the market things have gotten so much more expensive. A good set of Aluminum Heads fully assembled you can use many headers compared to buying the Mac GT40p headers which will cost you about 400, Trickflow spring kit, and sending them to a machine shop to be decked and new valve guides will cost you. Times have changed blows me away brother. Before much cheaper to get done.

      @@guyver650 well, I just found out, that the MAC headers I have, are not compatible with the GT40P's. So, I'm thinking, I probably should just continue my savings for some AFR 165's. The GT40p's at 6-700 bucks + a new set of springs and possible porting bring me to the price of AFR 165's. And if I boost (which I do plan to) in the future, the 165's (in my opinion, change my mind) serve me better.

    The Astro gears break as well if you don't use the astro gearcase....the stock cases stretch and causes the gear mesh to misalign and break off teeth. I broke astro gears too.

      @@PeeterPuncher 330 foot pounds of torque and I have truly driven her as it was meant to be. She has been a blast. Now the TKX is available and for the Foxbody scene a great choice especially when pushing your power levels.

      @@guyver650 I ended up putting a T-56 in and I don't own the car anymore. I have a new project and also have looked into a TKX but it is almost as much as a T56.

    I put trick flow twisted wedge top end kit along with rings and bearings electric fans aluminum radiator accufab 70 mm throttle body 24 pd injectors cold air intake and it made 300 hp and 330 tq.. I also put 3.90 gears.

    P heads are pretty good heads.....UNTIL....you try to change the plugs after installing headers. MAJOR pain in the butt

      💯 Getting the Spark plugs to seal is a huge PIA. After years of using Ford Racing Wires and burnt wires went to Livewires way better seal. I now just use the spark plugs socket with a wrench to remove them. Time consuming indeed.

      They came off another GT. The Passenger side is a NOS. I owned an 87 Black GT and never liked the same body color graters.

    @Mustangs&Miatas Could you add more videos or give us more information about your driving? I'm considering a few options but I'm not an aggressive driver. Shift mostly varies between 3 to 5k rpm, barely redline and looking to gauge the noise of the muffler while cruising on the highway (both within the cabin and outside). Your answers will be really helpful. Thanks!

      There is no drone on the highway. I have zero tolerance for that noise at this age. It is truly a mature sound and the factory resonator is key to that. A complaint from some is that is is not aggressive enough which I can understand but that will be at the expense of cabin noise in which I went with the Cobalt axle back.

    I put those heads on my 95 gt that already had a Vortech S trim. I went from 13.5 in the 1/4, to 12.8. They're a great budget upgrade over the stock E7's.

      Zac Hutson 3.55 that is what the Saleens came with. You can be in 3rd ready to roll. 3.73 are great too if you stay naturally aspirated. If you keep stock heads the Ford Cams have been known to give you some power with some roller rockers. But those E7 heads to me are just choking out this 302.
